Summer Field Meeting 2013
Our Summer field meeting this year will take place in East Co. Down on Wednesday 5th June.
We have had to move away from our normal Thursday date due to availability of our hosts. As some people may choose to overnight in the area on Tuesday 4th we have arranged accommodation at the Slieve Donard in Newcastle for anyone interested. The cost is £55 per person sharing in twin rooms or £85 for a single room. If you wish to stay in this hotel you must organise it yourself.
For those travelling the previous evening we have organised a visit to Noel and Richard Kane, who have 750 acres of crops, as well as manufacturing trailers. Point View Farm is on Cottage Road in Seaforde.
As is the recent tradition we will assemble for breakfast, this time in the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle. From there we will travel to our first visit to meet with Allan Chambers, also in Seaforde. Breakfast must be complete by 9.00am so that we can keep to schedule.
The day is meant to be both informative and enjoyable and includes a barbeque lunch at McKees Country Store and Restaurant and a drive down through the scenic
