Our annual summer field meeting takes place on Thursday 7th June. We are visiting East Mayo for the first time and we are including two major machinery manufacturers – McHale and AgriSpread. We will also be given an introduction to agricultural activity in Mayo and have a talk on the importance of freshwater fishing to the county.
Overnight accommodation in advance is available in the McWilliam Park Hotel for €115/double/twin room B&B or €105/single room B&B or €155 per double room for dinner B&B. If you want to avail of any of these options contact the hotel yourself.
As has become traditional, we have organised breakfast in the hotel for anyone who wishes to avail of it for an additional €10/head (pay separately). To help organise for our visits we would appreciate if you could let the secretary know if you intend to travel, with numbers.

McHale is a very well-known manufacturer of balers, wrapping equipment and other grassland equipment. They export to many countries around the globe.

12.30–14.30 Lunch in McWilliam Park Hotel with talk by Liam Fahey, Department of Agriculture, Castlebar, on agriculture in Mayo.
15.00–17.00 Visit AgriSpread in Ballyhaunis, manufacturers of fertiliser spreaders.
