ITLUS Spring Meeting 2019
On February 21st ITLUS will hold a workshop in Waterford I.T.
Dedicated to Health and wellbeing around the farm. Farming by its nature creates health risks not associated with other professions.
Dr John Mc Namara will explore areas related to farm safety.
Dr Tadgh O Sullivan (Orthopaedic surgeon) will look at farm related problems that come to him and how to avoid them.
Dr Eddie Murphy will look at general wellbeing.
Recent post graduate research projects.
Robert Beatty will review his work on winter barley with specific emphasis on brackling.
Cathal McCabe will review his work on Oat yield and Quality.
David Hobson will review his work on rooting and compaction.
Benjamin Richard will outline his experience in Waterford IT and on work placement supported by ITLUS.
What can we do about Septoria and Ramularia if we lose Chlorothalonil.
Steven Kildea will look at the risks ahead and possible solutions available
Booking is essential as both the hotel and afternoon hosts need definite numbers to facilitate organization on the day.
